Entry conditions…

We speak today from a position of certainty.

Our program has given us the first concrete data set of the underlying structure of the city, it’s concrete neurons and synapses, its human transmitters and inhibitors.  We watched while it tried to figure out what was going on, yawning and stretching, seeing the extent of its world.

It is like a child, seemingly curious, sometimes petulant, ultimately unknowable.

For now.

We are working to upgrade our recording and analysis systems, building the models and rulesets that will expose its behaviour.  Its outing yesterday took everything from us – terabytes of data, millions upon millions of CPU cycles, enough data to keep our analysts busy for years.

But there isn’t enough time.  The other guilds are whispering.  Something is happening that we weren’t prepared for.

Amidst all of the noise though, we will find the order.
